Girls, Did you ever warn your friend about a JERK, and she married him anyway, and lived to regret it?

Sorry to say, I did not REALLY warn her, because I did not want to alienate her with the hope of her dumping him and hooking up with me.

One Saturday morning at their Town House, (she was working, like every Saturday) The Ahole, was out waxing his Corvette. I went in the house to use the bathroom, and the sink was full of dirty dished, the bed was not made up, because she had to get up EARLY to go to work. I asked him: "Why don't you go in and fix up the apartment, make the bed and do the dishes?" HIs answer: "That's womans work"! Jesus, I thought! What a horse's ass!

That was just the tip of the iceberg for this bastard, about his behavior, toward her and what was "woman's work".

Well, she married this jerk, and when she was in maternity, in labor, he came to maternity, DRUNK!

She stayed married for 20 years, and I guess she deserved what she got.

She didn't marry him but I warned a girl I knew in college that a guy she was talking to might be a fuckboy and he seemed like a dick. She didn't listen and he ended up sleeping with her a few times then he stopped talking to her.

I saw him at the club a few months later and he bought me a drink and we were talking and he started putting on his charm and like an idiot I fell for it and went home with him and we had sex. We hooked up a few times over a month or so and ended up dating and everything was fine at first but it ended up being a toxic off and on again relationship. He was a manipulator and emotionally abusive.

Well, Mandy, you see my point. You were manipulated the same way as your friend, but with that said, most of us don't heed warning signs about someone that is 'bad news". The girl I wrote about continued with him and married and had two girls and then divorced.

Yeah I've definitely been through it with a narcissistic manipulator, it's so toxic. I hate that she went down that rabbit hole so far.

Yesss definitely have! I’ve argued endlessly with two of my best friends over guys they picked until I realized that 9/10 a woman will stand by her man no matter what even when the situation is so shitty. They have to go through enough trauma, disappointment and be so low down before they can finally say they’ve had enough and walk away. You’re friend didn’t know her worth and had to be run into the ground before it was over. Sucks to watch people you care for go through that.

Ugh yes so is my friend! The one still in the relationship, the other friend left thank goodness. Literally such a model, she gets requests for photo shoots all the time and always has men hit on her when we go out yet settles for the short mean man who’s so insulting and just horrible. Fortunately she’s distanced herself a tiny bit but he’s still got his teeth in her. It really is so sad man.

I stopped, while out shopping for groceries, and saw a big, stupid ass holding a girl by her hair, in a car, after pulling her (by her hair) up to the driver's seat, from the back seat, with her screaming, "you're hurting me". I broke it up, with the asshole jumping out, and confronting me. I was in the Sheriff's Academy at the time but did not get my baton out of my car and had no weapon. Police came and then warned me about what could have happened and said: "She'll be back in bed with him tonight. Don't put yourself in danger for someone like that" Same kind of thing

So sorry to hear this! I have certainly given my opinion on a few guys, but none of it ever went as far as what your female friend had to deal with.
