My girlfriend wants two sleeves of tattoos, I don't find them attractive. What do I do?

So, my girlfriend has tattoos on both sides of her legs, I don't mind them. Wouldn't say I'm a fan but accepted them as it didn't bother me that much and I find her very sexy. Issue is... I find girls with full sleeves on both arms just less attractive, I don't know why... and she wants to get both arms done next... and possibly her hand, I just feel as if it ruins the beauty and feminine look she has, I know ill get a lot of hate... but arm sleeve/neck tats, I feel are a total turn off. I just look at them... and feel manly, I hooked up a while back with someone with arm tats as I liked their personality... but as soon as they were giving anything or doing anything... the tats just turned me off... it was a bit masculine for me. We spoke and it didn't go down well, I know it's her body and all... I said my concerns, because it's just a turn off for me... it gives me shivers, she said its her body and I knew she was into tattoos, I said yep but you said about legs not getting sleeves as well... she said she would do it in the future anyway, but more down the line... how do I go about approaching it? Everytime I think of it, I just can't do it... as much as I want to, she stuck fake tattoos on her arms for fun, we went to do something... and I just simply was turned off... any advice?

I agree with you, however, had you drilled down in discussion of why she wants this⁉️ Who is she trying to impress…or hang with in that subculture? What’s the actual motivation…physical pain from the process ⁉️

But yes, too much get trashy looking. I do not care for tattoos at all though. I would not be pleased either. And, I do not know how I would react to it and relationship as a whole until after it was finished. Defacing perfect bothers me deeply though.

All you can do is tell her how you feel, calmly and honestly. Don’t shout or yell, or use angry tones of voice, and no accusatory statements. Just be honest. It is her decision about what she wants to do with her body in the end, though.

If she gets it done, you have two choices. Either stay with her and deal with it, or break up with her and move on with your life. She already had the leg tattoos when you started dating, right? So you knew this was part of her overall style.
