You are going to get a lot of bullshit from young people because they think they know "true love" but don't.

True love is an extremely rare thing. Frankly, it is a form of insanity involving the mathematics of infinities. In true love:

1. Your partner is practically perfect. In your mind, there is no one better and you want no one else because they are perfect for you
2. You genuinely believe you are the best for them - that no one can take care of or love your partner any better than you.
3. You cannot imagine being with anyone else or cheating. You don't even fantasize about others.
4. Your doing anything that may harm them or in any way make their lives worse is outlawed.
5. You would sacrifice your life for them without a thought of yourself.
6. You try to anticipate their needs or any threats to them or you both and act on those needs/threats and discuss it with your partner ASAP.
7. Life without your partner is almost unbearable. You have become addicted to your partner and you suffer withdrawal without them.

I think it’s different for everyone but I think true love is understanding that your partner isn’t perfect, but you accept them for who they are and their flaws make them perfect.
