Dear Meow:

I have an older brother who 95% abandoned his family of origin when he got maried in 1975; his wife of 47 years just died and he got remarried TWO MONTHS AFTER THE FIRST WIFE'S FUNERAL! I don't want any advice from him!

I have an older sister who is very spiteful and vindictive; her own children haven't talked to her in twenty years. She's the kind of person who alienates almost everybody who comes near her. Don't want any advice from her.

I have a younger brother who is a decent dude. I don't confide a great deal in him but when we talk, I listen to what he says.

I have a friend who has known me for 51 years. He is like an older brother to me, a best friend, and a trusted soul with a good heart. If I need advice, he is my go-to guy.

If you are close with your siblings you can rely on them. I mostly talk with friends or I figure things out on my own through the internet. This site does help me sometimes. There are a few people I message directly. If you need help you can message me and I'll give you advice

I rely on my cousin for business advice because she owns a business, I rely on my friend for home care advice because she is a house wife, and I rely on my religious leaders for religious advice, also sometimes users on this site.
