Why would a wife post a quote that she's better when her husband is still cheating?

Her husband has been in a 7 year affair but the last year he's been spending more with his wife and kids. Because of his financial difficulties and his knowledge she might know. He's also playing her because he doesn't want to lose his money.

But he's still in the affair.

Why would the wife post her picture with a quote the best! To annoy the other woman? To trigger the other woman to say something? Does she really think she won and is the best?

It’s very sad and ridiculous for the other woman to not only treat being a side piece as some sort of competition with the man’s wife, but also to believe that wife would somehow know the side woman stalks her social media and make posts to “rub things in the other woman’s face” rather than be honest. My question for the side would be why can’t the post be serious? He has a wife and children, does she really think with 100% certainty that he can’t have a change of heart and want to work on things with his wife, or that he’d leave the wife for her? It’s delusional and quite selfish.

After 7 years I think a change of heart is out of the question. Imagine staying with a guy that's been cheating on you wuth the same woman 7 years. Or even if it was multiple different women.

It’s different once there’s kids involved, and honestly who knows what he says to his wife. What if he makes her feel like everything is fine but secretly he’s unhappy and cheating? What if he’s completely normal and so she had no idea of the cheating or why he did it? I wouldn’t put it past him to lie and play both sides of the fence...

The wife has known for years and never confronted her husband. The kids know too.
It's a secret. So I guess she's OK with him sleeping around. And showing her girls that accepting disrespect is Ok
