Should I ask him what was wrong or is it nagging?

Anonymous
I was dating this guy for four months, we had feelings for each other but he said that we should not rush the process (we both had a terrible heartbreak in the past) and that we need time till we become official. I thought that things were going well but I haven't seen him since September, he said he's busy or that he's not feeling well. We barely text, and when we text it's just like texting a friend. I realised that it's over but have no idea why. Should I ask him if I had done something wrong or why he has changed? I miss him and I would like to know why his feelings have changed but I don't wanna be nagging.

Sorry for spelling mistakes.

I really cannot understand why people are not capable of writing something like: We had a good time, but I'm looking for someone, who is _____. Then I would at least know that I didn't do anything wrong. And I could work on myself if for example trust issues or something would be a problem.
