Guy and I were supposed to friends with benefits. We just ended up talking. He said he didn’t want a relationship bc of work and did a great job of making sure we keep conversations short and casual. Deep down I do think he cares about me in some way. We got into it a few months ago and stopped talking.

I did reach out to him to ask if he passed his firefighter test.. he said yes. Then he asked me how I’ve been and what I’ve been up to. The last couple convos.. he never ask before

Sounds like he's just making conversation. As hard as it may be to believe these days, there was a time when the people we had sex with also happened to be people we had a somewhat favorable impression of.

It's only been in recent years that people have started getting comfortable treating their sexual partners with overt hostility.
