Would you wait on a man for almost 4 years?

My friend is married to this man and he had to go overseas for his job. He was under a government contract job but also visits home when he gets leave. People in our friend group calls her stupid and easy. My friend never cheated on him, and she doesn’t even flirt at all. she doesn’t have male friends. She’s completely faithful to him. Is she wrong for waiting? He’s back home now. She waited the entire years out for him

She is a typical example if a traditional woman. She set her eye on her and and she bagged him. If you ask me, those who throw all sorts of abuse at her are just jealous that she refused to wreck her life. Do you think that her husband had a choice in being away from home? He did his duty which was mandatory to serve his nation. That is noble. She showed her nobility by understanding this which very few people in the world today can handle. Because a lot of us have truly become snow flakes. We like things easy and are not willing to make sacrifices for what we want.

Very often this act of nobility is misconstrued as being backwards and yet we don't see how the alternative has an enormous capacity for encouraging lack of accountability for our actions.

Oh how I wish I wasn't one of the generation of snowflakes sometimes.

If she really loves him then it probably was not that difficult to stay faithful to him. It was probably more difficult to keep from missing him, however. I don’t understand the deal with him being gone for “years”, though. Even active duty service members get to see their families more often than that.

Yeah he came back frequently though. He’s go off on these secret government jobs. My cousin in the Air Force has a job like this and we don’t hear from him years at a time.

If he's the one I would wait for him but have more of an open relationship. Currently I'm in a long distance relationship and I have to wait until 2024 to have him in my arms. We have an agreement. If I have an itch lol scratch it. Just don't fall in love with someone or get pregnant lol. It's complicated but this man completes me so he's well worth it. Unless he does something shitty.
