How would you feel if your SO started spending more time with their friends instead of you?

So honestly I actually did this in a previous relationship where I was starting to mentally check out for so many reasons, one of which we just didn’t make each other happy anymore. It’s not a good sign if one wants to spend more time with friends. Of course he/she can spend time with friends but if that’s all they want to do eh I don't know lol. I would say it’s good to self reflect if your even happy anymore and then address any concerns to your partner.

That's a very common complaint that women have about their boyfriends. I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless you're angry that now you're in the companionate love stage rather than the passionate, insecure stage anymore. It just gives him time to recharge so that he can be his best self around you.

It depends on what she's doing. Who are her friends and what are they doing together?
I wouldn't want to be with someone who liked to go out drinking and partying like she was in college.

In the early stages of a relationship, it would make me uncomfortable because, at that stage, two people are supposed to be infatuated and unable to get enough of each other. But I wouldn't expect my partner to abandon her friends.

Once I got married, my wife and I trusted each other completely. Neither of us were into the club or bar scene. But I could do things with my friends and she could do things with hers. We share many interests but not all. So it's nice to have people to do those things with without having to coerce your partner to join you.

These days, I'm retired but my wife still works in town. Since the onset of the manufactured covid hysteria, she got involved with people in town who advocate for liberty. She has become politically passionate (not politically partisan). And she has made some very good friends. They often go to meetings and events. I go sometimes but not that often.

Anyway, she enjoys what she does and I enjoy my free time. It actually gives us a lot to talk about when we are together. I'm glad that she is so informed and passionate. We are completely supportive and dedicated to each other.

That happens the longer a relationship goes on. My SO and I have been together 6 years and she often spends more time with her friends.
