I help them in my free time by raising cats, dogs, and bunnies... rescuing from the streets, feeding, proving, and administering medicine, helping in raising then finally advertising and adoption. It's not for profit, just helping. So far we have saved hundreds.
Many girls find it weird, as almost all the others helping are women way older than me and most are women in animal shelters.

If I were into dating a person that it certainly would be a person that has a big heart rather than big muscle or a big car.
I would definitely date a man that works in an animal shelter, a zoo or in a vet clinic. People that are kind to animals cannot be bad people and are usually more empathic than others.
Now, there is more to just the workplace that needs to be considered. I do place a big importance on character and personality and absolutely no importance on looks, fortune and height.
My granddad always used to say that there are no stupid jobs, only stupid people. Thus, I do not find those working in animal shelters weird at all.
