So he recently caught me having a harmless quick scroll through his messages, and said "what the hell are you doing?" and I told him just a quick look and his friend chats, they're really funny, and so he reaches over and takes the phone from me and I See him changing the pin and I ask him why and he said "because I don't trust you now" and I told him I wouldn't do it again and to give me the new pin and he said that I have to re-earn that trust again and I don't think it's fair to do after catching me once am I right?
Having a harmless quick scroll through his messages? That’s a complete invasion of privacy not to mention looking insecure as hell. I would’ve changed my password too.

I think it's fair. Just give him a reason to trust you again. you looked at his messages with his friends without permission.
Why were you even looking through his phone in the first place?
