A few weeks ago, my boyfriend told me he was going out with “friends for sushi and ice cream.” he was gone for two hours or so. The next day I went to pay him for something and saw that a girl paid him for sushi the night before. He insisted they were friends but I also see he has her on snapchat. I felt lied to about the whole thing. Why didn’t he just say it was a girl? I can’t stop thinking about it and it’s made me act differently towards him. I don’t think I can ever get over this. Today after not hearing from him all day I said I feel like i’m chasing him, and that ever since the events of a few weeks ago, our relationship has been rocky and honestly weird, and that’s why i’ve been acting the way I have been (overthinking, anxiety, etc.) I don’t know if we can really come back from this, I felt like he was hiding things from me and still is.

I feel like I might be in the minority, but I don't differentiate between friends and "girl" if she's a friend. So if I'm going to hang out with a friend it could be anyone.
but we had agreed that if we were gonna hang out with someone of the opposite sex, the other should know.
I feel like that makes it him being dishonest, which is something else entirely.
it sounded a little too much like a date
Mhmm. I have a low tolerance for dishonesty and am great at sniffing that out so... I really haven't let a situation get that far. Do what you feel is best for YOU.
lol it eats me up…i just want it to end
You realize men and women can be platonic friends, right? Yikes.
ugh yes…just don’t be secretive about it. jfc.
