So I am a 40-year-old mama and will be 41 next month, recently I started dating a guy who is 21. His little brother plays baseball with my son and has for years. So I know him and his family plus they live like down the block from us. He was being very flirty telling me how he's always had a crush on me and the only reason he went to his brother's baseball games was to see me and what I was wearing. This was shocking to me as I'm a conservative mama, I am pretty tiny and I think cute but never considered myself a milf and don't carry myself like that. Anyway I was very flattered it was exciting to have this cute younger guy openly hitting on me it made me feel young and sext!!! I agreed to drinks with him it went well and we've been together ever since. We see each other 4 to 5 days a week and yes it's very, very passionate but I'm really starting to catch feelings. This is the first guy I have been with since I lost my husband a few years ago. Can a relationship like this with this kind of age gap really work?

The problem isn’t his age. The problem is having sex too soon. If you’re conservative you wouldn’t be so willing to sleep with someone before you’re married and especially not on the first date.

If you really are into him and he’s into you. Don’t let that stop you both from being together. But if it’s just sex. It’s not meaningful at all.

Because if you want more children. You’re gonna have to you know… tie the knot down within a year or less or a few years at most.

You don’t want to marry a guy using you for sex.

It should be about love. You want to find love and someone who will love you. Especially if you age faster then them. You want them to still love you

Yes it can work. I have a friend who is in a similar situation as you. they both have a happy fulfilled sex lives , and strong commitment to each. Their relationship is as strong as it ever be up to this day and they a have been together for a about 8 years now.

So it can work but it depends on the maturity of both parties

Sure! If you’re in it for love. As long as you aren’t using each other for sex. Which is why it should wait. Because unfortunately some guys do that.

As you start to age. If he really loves you for you. He won’t loose interest.

But you also need to date. Especially at 40 if you want more children. Being attracted to a young healthy guy makes sense. Because he has a better chance at producing better offspring. Plus if he’s a great guy who makes you feel young again. Thats good too.

Start slow with people you know won’t take offense or over react. The last thing either of you need is friends talking behind your back. Personally I don’t see a problem but age difference in relationships seems to be a kind of hot topic on here. To me age is just a number as long as both are legal and consensual. Others here don’t see it that way. More than a couple of years difference and they have problems with it.

Exactly! We’re gonna start slow introducing it to our friends/family. Like I said he lives down the block I know his family my son plays baseball with his little brother. So the families know each other. His mom who’s only a couple years older than me maybe 4445 isn’t too thrilled, but has kind of that you guys are both adults. Do what you want kind of attitude. but he wants to take me as his date to his fraternity formal dance.
