I think the bigger questions would be what are your reasons for yelling or nagging and what do you hope to accomplish by doing so. Your question is the same as asking why you wouldn't like being punched in the nose. If your husband doesn't respond positively to what you are doing, the issue isn't with him but with yourself. Ask yourself your reasons for continuing a pattern that doesn't give you the results you seek.

I understand you yell and nag because you don't believe he is hearing you... and feel the yelling and nagging will cause him to hear you. When people are yelled at or nagged, they tend to tune out the person yelling or nagging, as those behaviors are annoying and hard on the ears. Find a therapist who is qualified to teach the two of you effective communication skills. Discover what works rather than insist what you are doing should work.

Let me break it down for you.

Nagging is when a woman asks a man to take the rubbish bins out, as they will be emptied the next morning let's say it gets emptied at 6am and it's currently 10am the day before. So the man has many hours and many other things to do but the woman keeps Nagging him to do it as he's in the middle of something when he knows he will do it after he has done x y z.

Stressing him out and annoying him for no reason.

No Nagging does not just have to come from women you can be nagged by anyone.
