This is more common when we rely on external forces to keep us entertained. There are always things we can do to occupy our time and help us feel productive and worthwhile. Your husband was away working for the two of you. The least you could do would be to find ways to entertain yourself. You could do a project you've been putting off. You could work on a creative endeavor. If you want to rely on TV, you can stream just about anything online.

My son is one of the most creative people I know. One day, when he was young, he came up to me and said "I'm bored." I just started laughing, and then he joined in, also. He then went outside, found a branch and started whittling. When we feel bored, we're just feeling sorry for ourselves. Personalize something, and fill your time with something you see as meaningful. We don't need to be active and productive constantly, but look for ways to divert your focus when you find yourself in a pity party.

Yes, absolutely. It comes rarely now days, because what I do is my hobby as well, however on the rare occasion that I am fed up and bored, I drink and immediately I become tipsy, the boredom dissappears. Then I am as content in my existence until it is time for bed.

The hell no! I enjoy the tranquility of solitude and play some VINYL albums that she doesn't really care for like Bid Dylan or Bob Marley and crank up the volume. Best enjoyed with a few rum and cokes 🧋🤣👍😃
