Is it possible in this real life for exes to get along well and hang out like friends?

and only as friends? In the case one of the exes currently do have a partner but the other ex still is single but they remained very very good and close friends years after.

For instance like one of the exes (the woman) currently is dating someone else and the guy is not dating anyone currently but they did remain super friends years after the were an item and split.

In fact the male guy even attended his bff marriage when she got married like 2 years ago (this happens 5 years after they were an item but then they split). When the guy attended his bff wedding (2 years ago) he was with someone at that time but then this year the male BFF broke up with his respective girlfriend and the male friend ended up single one more time but his bff was was dating another dude.

The odd thing is that recently these 2 exes met at a eating place like as a casual friends outing and this year exactly last year they also met at the same eating place they met today. isn't that odd? But they both claimed they are jsut very good close BFF that their friendship had lasted many years and nothing else but they never really confirmed or denied they were an item when they were supposedly dating many years ago.
