What Girls Said
I'll try to answer this. It's kinda hard because I try NOT to cheat. So I'm growing out of it.
When I cheated, it wasn't really a planned thing. Some women plan it. Others fall into it.
I cheated because I was in such hard denial that I liked someone besides my boyfriend, that after he left for the military, I was left alone with my feelings for this other guy. I was just blatantly at a cross roads, and it was like "What's it gonna be?" By the time I'd chosen, I was forced to wait to break up with him because I couldn't do it while he was in the middle of boot. It would have ruined his progress. It was just a shit situation. I waited til after he finished the Crucible to break up with him.
While I was with my ex, it was obvious I had feelings for my husband. I chose to spend more time with my husband than my boyfriend (but my boyfriend was a gamer, so he neglected me quite a bit).
I FELT LIKE MY EMOTIONAL NEEDS WERE NOT BEING MET.
and
HE DID NOT SPEND MUCH TIME WITH ME.
These are two factors that can lead an otherwise faithful partner to look outwards.
People often hate on cheaters, but few consider the responsibility of the person whom they cheated on. I'm not saying they deserved it, but sometimes there is a reason the other person left that isn't simply maliciousness...
As for frequent cheaters, I don't know. I've had 6 partners and have only cheated on 2. One was an LDR, and I felt very pressured by my ex. It's like he wouldn't leave me alone or let me move on.
The other relationships, I was faithful in, but I ended them or got broken up with. Something I have struggled with is breaking up with people, so I have pushed myself to the point of cheating because
I WAS AFRAID TO BE ALONE.
I hope this helps you a little bit. I hope you don't judge me because I am being very candid and try my best to be the best person I can be.
