Isn't it wise to be happy with what I have if time isn't in my favor?

It's been nearly a year since we've been dating and even though I'm not in love with him (infatuation stage never developed), I'm happy to have peace.

If I were to go down the route of searching for infatuation, for a man to fall in love with (doing what many women and my even my own mother want... only think with the emotions) I might as well continue staying single searching for that and time not being in my favor.

I'm actually following my father's advice of getting what's available. Yeah I don't have passionate love (don't find myself lusting over him) towards him but do have compassionate love. I'm willing to deal with that.

The way my father described my situation is like this... he words were along these lines:
''You've given 12 hours to buy all you want on a big mall. You're so undecided and take so long. You've spent 11 hours and now have only an hour remaining left before everything closes. In that case, accept what's being offer, get what you can. You don't have too much time anymore.''
