I don't believe in fatalism, but it is highly unlikely there aren't others who would be a good compatible match for every type of person. Though they exist, they may be hard to find. Here are the main challenges in finding a compatible partner:
1) People don't tend to be observant. They see what they want to see and assume people they're drawn to will conform to their ideal if they truly care.
2) People tend to avoid being open and honest (not wanting to limit their opportunities). They'll give the other person what they believe that person wants to see, yet they'll remove that mask after the other has invested in the relationship. We won't like the results if we don't clearly share what we are seeking in a partner and what a partner can expect of us.
3) People assume talking is the same as communicating. Without learning effective communication skills, we'll end up with a life filled with frustration, conflict and disappointment.
