Men's brains don't work like women's brains - women multitask and connect everything to everything, while men focus on a single thing at a time and it's an effort to switch from one thing to another. As such, I don't think about my girl much when I am working because work thoughts take up all my brain power. I think about her a lot when I have free time, though.

I suspect that most guys work this way, unless they have a job that doesn't require a lot of brain power. There are a few guys who have more female-like multi-tasking brains who can get things done while thinking about their girl, but they are the exception.
