How long does a long distance relationship last where you know that the chances of you to meet that person is very less?

You have to litterally be able to bike to new town In order to make it to work. But I’ve been going two years strong off and on with good luck and getting treated like dog shit on occasion.

Between 6 months to 1 year. If that person hasn't gotten it together to make arrangements as far as job/career, moving arrangements within that time frame then they are just wasting each other's time.
