I used to think that guys would hate you if you weren’t high end model bone and body but I’ve met many guys who choose ugly girls over pretty ones when the ugly girl is smarter or nicer or more hard working or more classy. I used to think guys did not care how much money you make and now I know it’s a lie. If you have a good career, guys will marry you, even if you are in your 50s and do not want kids.

I thought it was extremely common for men to cheat on their partners and leave them, much more than women.

as a little kid, i also thought that men farted through their ears and that's why farts smelled so bad.

My older siblings tricked me on my 13th birthday by telling me boys gets periods when they hit puberty.

It was a stressful couple weeks for me after that bombshell. I got hot flushes randomly and checked my downstairs general for any signs of bleeding.

Rough rough times. Haven't forgiven them till this very day lol

I didn't grow up with this kind of ignorance... I mean, women have always been part of my life, so have men

it was quite obvious that negative traits were present in both men and women, and were not a gender exclusive thing, lol

right... in my case I grew up in suburbs type of environment, plenty of family, relatives, street neighbors, big classes at school... million people cities so, I certainly was not isolated and not unaware about how people can actually be

I used to think that girls are gold diggers and get into relationships for money.

Couldn't have been more wrong. Fact of life is that everything costs money. Being sick and homeless is free.

I dread telling a girlfriend this when one asks me this question. I know how much girls hate it when they are viewed as gold diggers.
