Should I block him or not?

there's this guy I really like, we had a thing going on for a while but it ended cause he told me he wasn't ready for a relationship at the moment cause of some problems he had going on. We had a fight over something during the fight, we didn't talk for like a week then for some reason he tried to make me jealous by posting a girl on his social media at that time I didn't know that that was his ex until recently which makes me think he's not over her. I wanted to ask him about it but I didn't get the chance to I really wanted to talk to him about it Incase it was a misunderstanding but couldn't. After we ended things, we just became friends again but it wasn't the same. he ended up thinking I didn't have feelings for him cause I lied that I didn't and he was hurt. I couldn't bear the thought of losing him to his ex so I confessed my feelings to him again not to get into a relationship but to just let him know how I feel. His response was that he told me he wasn't ready for a relationship and he was serious about that. I told him I was aware but I just wanted to let him know how I felt and if he felt the same way. he sent me a message saying, "how many times have I told you that I like you, if you want me to say it again I wouldn't" I was really confused and shocked when I saw this cause I thought he still had feelings for his ex. He thought I didn't see the message he sent then deleted it completely then said if I want to be friends I shouldn't bring it up anymore. I really just want to forget him, block him and move on but I feel blocking him would make me seem immature. I need help what should I do?
