If my spouses career is progressing well then she feels fully realized as whole person. And to be a behind the scenes helper is gratifying for me in MANY ways.
A happy spouse/girlfriend means more homemade chocolate layered cake and strawberry pie…and other new and creative activity.
No because what you’re trying to do is build a family right? You should be appreciative. They’re bringing in more funds, more support, and when you plan on having a child even more so.
It’s an IMBECILE who thinks this way, or a NARCISSIST who would be jealous of their partner upgrading. A COMPLETE NARCISSIST.
You should congratulate and uplift, better yet help her to keep upgrading and leveling up. This is your PARTNER.
I would for my man. I’ll uplift and continue to push you to do better. If you’re jealous it’s because you’re not doing the same. In fact it seems you’re not tying anything at all to upgrade your own self. It’s selfish people you focus on others. Focus on you. And you should love your partner and be there for her no matter what they decide.
There are so MANY reasons why one person's career does better than the other's in a couple.
You should be grateful that one half of the couple is hitting balls out of the park. Congratulate him or her and do your best to discover why you might've reached some sort of stalemate.
It could be the firm you're in, the business you're in, your education or lack thereof. Too many factors to name. But do an assessment with a job coach to find out what you can do better. And love the fact that your spouse is doing so well.
Maybe in a sense. I don't really get jealous because I value my happiness above all. If I'm jealous it would because she did or said something to make me feel inadequate. And I wouldn't keep somebody in my life that made me feel that way for very long. Truthfully I would be proud of her and what she had accomplished. And it would drive me (i'd hope at least) to match her. Not because it's a competition but because I'd want to hold up my end. But I'm a pretty laid back guy. If she was too much of a climber we wouldn't get along in the first place. I don't care for people who feel the NEED to keep up with the Joneses

No, I’d be happy for her. It would be good for us as a couple.
Nah I'm a stay at home mom so I'm happy if my husband is doing good at work
Not at all, I'd be happy for her.
Yeah, until she starts fucking her boss.
I mean I wouldn't feel jealous, rather I would feel miniscule. I don't like feeling like my partner can do better than me, however it's not necessarily about their job or social power, so I guess I don't know. As long as they aren't pushing it in my face to say that they could do so much better, than I'm ok.
Honest answer 🎉
That depends, but I can see that being a possibility, especially if we're the same age and in the same stage of life, same field/occupation etc. Not because I am competitive or anything, but because I grew up being compared to others by my parents.
no, no reason to... lol
and when it was the case, it made all the sense in the world...
my ex-girlfriend business was making three times more of what mine did, but not only she had a great set up for it, hers had been going for a lot longer so it was already peaking, sort of speak so there is no reason whatsoever for me to get any kind of jealous or envy about it, and if I did... it would be out of sheer stupidity, which is not the case
You really don't understand women.
@KrakenAttackin that hurt my side... lmao
appreciated
Wake the fuck up.
@KrakenAttackin I actually woke up my neighbors... from the laughter
Always with the witty banter but no substance, just like a woman.
@KrakenAttackin " wait, you just dissed me? I'm perplexed
compliment me in a line, insult me on the next, damn... "
here's an autograph, though... @NathanDavis
No, not at all.
In fact, I planned on it and it has now come to fruition.
I took my wife from a $10/hour tech support worker to a $100k+ / year IT manager with a major (as in household name) health care/pharmacy corporation.
damn... you look young. your skin is like a babys. wtf.
LOL.. thanks.. Its genetics, plus I don't drink and never used drugs.
No, when I met him we were both students and while I was quicker to earn my first real money, the moment his company first got costumers and cooperations he quickly made more.
I revel in my partner's success. Though I am the competitive type so part of me will strive to work harder and climb higher.
Not jealous, but definitely competitive. I was searching for the exact opinion! Read yours.
Hell no.
I'd be so proud. Good for him 🤗
My hubby excelling at everything he puts his mind to 😍
No, my wife made more money than I did if I didn't count the Thursday night class I taught that I got paid extra for. I was glad that she could make so much money.
Say both me and a guy each have two kids from our previous partners: I work full time and parent full time and he works full time but only sees his kid every other weekend. He insists his job doesn’t have a schedual for him to have his kids more.
Why on earth would I be attracted to him. I hustle harder than him. It’s not a discussion it’s facts.
Why should I be jealous and envious if my lifetime companion does better than I career wise. More power to her
No. If I had a wife achieving goals I'd be happy for her. That'd push me to try harder myself
I'd be humiliated if it came at the cost of her doing the home duties. As long as she cooked cleaned did the kids stuff... she could male $0 or $10million. Only when the home tasks were put on me would I feel disgusted and embarassed.
Nope, I'd be very happy for her and proud to be dating someone who is intelligent and ballsy
Quite the opposite. If the girlie's hustlin and kickin ass, I'm giving praise!
No if you can’t be happy for others you’ll never be happy with yourself
Nah. I wouldn’t care if she earned more than me, I’m not insecure. I would be happy for her, and us.
No, it’d be hard to top being a mom 😂 but in all seriousness I can’t think of why I wouldn’t happily support him.
That won’t be a problem for me. I’m marrying a stay at home Mom
You better make sure you are bringing in and maintaining some heavy dough especially if you plan to have 3 or 4 kids.
I’m an engineering student in college
Ok..
Not at all. I would be happy for her and proud 💕
No, but you can bet if your wife starts making more than the husband she will soon look to trade up.
What kind of wife is that? From hell?
Is there another kind?
Of course. You have this twisted and ugly view of women.
No bro, I KNOW what women really are.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy He’s not wrong
Women almost never love a man for who he is, but what he can provide them
@WhiteBoyChill Spot on correct.
@WhiteBoyChill: That's called a free loader. That is a type as soon as you falk on hard times will turn her back on you.
I told you once if you lead with your money it won't work.
You can't buy a woman's emotions and heart for you. Period.
*fall
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy. You just described most women perfectly. When you hit hard times 90% of women will bounce like a bad check. Women do not tolerate weakness or failure from a man.
I don't now what women you grow up around, man. Sure they are ish women out there but their are a lot of good women out there too that won't do that ish.
That isn’t the point. I was saying women almost never love a man for his personality. I wasn’t saying I wanted to try and buy a woman’s love
Look at the divorce rates bro and look who initiates divorces. Most women are this mercinary.
@WhiteBoyChill: I don't believe that BS. I understand there are women that suck but I also know there are good decent women out there in droves.
In the women in my family are good women. If you hang around ish women you will form a distorted view of women.
Bud it isn’t like that. Most other guys I talk to agree with me. You’re the one with a distorted sense of reality. You’ve even admitted before you’ve been single for a number of years.
@WhiteBoyChill: My situation isn't because I can't find a decent woman but I suffer from financial insecurity.
I feel uncomfortable not being able to provide for a family to the standards I would like.
Miami is very expensive to live nicely.
OMG bro, Miami women?
There are ZERO faithful women in Miami.
@KrakenAttackin Lol. The man said it himself. He hasn’t even been dating women 😂
No. It's not a competition.
If I would had married my ex-fiancé,... I think there would have been a chance of that.
No, I'd be quite pleased and motivated to improve.
Jealous 100% yes , envious nope
Who cares. You should be proud of them.
No. I couldn't care less.
I wouldn't get jealous from that.
Nope. Good for him. I have my own stuff going on.
not at all
No i support her
