Couples: Was there something reassuring, any tell-tale signs/instincts that you'd meet and become a partner one day?

I am asking this question because I went through, still I am but not that complex anymore, a childhood induced PTSD where a romantic relationship is unfamiliar for me.

So I am asking if you had any imagination of how your future partner was looking etc. Then you actually met her/him or does that happen by coincidence with any other person? (So it doesn't really depend on your imaginary figure and can happen at any time).

So all in short: I don't know how love feels like in a relationship. It's merely a compromise and logical. (What my responsibilities are).

I'd highly recommend for those who don't understand me to ask what I mean instead labeling me. So we can get along way better and solve many misunderstandings.

Often, when wanting a partner, we car for their needs and happiness in short. But we also share our wants and needs. Its important to work as a team in love.

I didn't have any clue how a romantic/love relationship would work. I know that it takes effort on both sides but only if it is not forced.

Now... the thing is... since I didn't have a romantic relationship... that I'd seek one out of desperation which is very dangerous.

So therefore I prefer solitude. With anyone. But I still love people

It'd be soothing if there actually was something reassuring... an instinct/feeling you'd receive that a sweetheart is out there for you (about to meet)
