Have you been betrayed?
4.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yes and right up to the very last minute I was held onto. She got that killer travel sales job with international company, dropped me like hot coals, and never received any straightforward contact. Sent an email and reply was hot and started new job.
That sort of sales required pretty much dead heart and short, if any at all, memory. I am sure she’s doing quite well.
You have something like that?12 Reply- +1 y
Sorry to hear that.
My ex-fiance betrayed me too, cheated and then got in a relationship with a girl he cheated on me with. - +1 y
My ex was a salesman too.

+1 yIf being ditched by an old ex best-friend who you trusted can be betrayal. Or being the bad guy and being called names and yelled at by your so called friend because they had to break up with someone since you told them their boyfriend was hitting on you. Or having lies spread about yo by someone you thought would never do that is betrayal. Then I would say betrayal is the worst feeling someone can have. Being betrayed I believe is one of the worst feelings as it just make you feel so utterly worthless.

I remember it being so painful that when I would go to the grocery store and they would play music for the shoppers, sometimes I had to just leave my basket of food there and go home. Music made me cry.14 Reply- +1 y
I feel you… Everything made me cry. I couldn’t stop feeling hurt, whatever I did, I was thinking of him. As if my life stopped and my heart was outside of my body.
It was one of the most painful experiences I’ve had. It’s been 6 months and I am still recovering but can’t compare to what I’ve been through.
If there is the hell, that was it. - +1 y
@LaFemmeFatale_1 I had just given birth to our son 5 months before and my son looks so much like him.
- +1 y
Oh… How did you recover from this experience?
- +1 y
@LaFemmeFatale_1
Hello! It took many many years to heal. I started writing poetry all about how bad I felt, etc. To be honest, I never really got over him. I was forced to get over him because he very seldom if ever contacted me.
I focused on my son and made sure he was loved and a happy boy. We are buddy's 🙂

+1 yWas in a bad home accident and was in the hospital for about six months. I was 17 at the time and had a girlfriend, who I was with for almost three years. Anyway I finally started to figure out who I was as a person after being in the hospital for four months and she wasn’t there. Two weeks before I was to come home she called me, at the hospital, and told me she was returning everything I had ever given her and she never wanted me to even talk to her.

+1 yThe most painful thing I’ve experienced in life was having a catheter shoved into my femoral artery…twice…
The first time I blacked out from the pain and tried to fight the hospital staff who had to hold me down and give me the crazy person goodnight shot to prevent me from bleeding to death.10 Reply1K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Many of the Ancients thought it was the most difficult thing to experience, and the most evil action. That's why in The Divine Comedy the three worst people in Hell were Judas Iscariot, Brutus, and one of his compatriots

I’d have to agree.
When someone you love betrays you, that changes your whole reality, your views about the humanity, about the love, about the life.
Nothing is same as before.
Those people purposefully choose to hurt you in the worst ways imaginable, yet, they were supposed to be the ones to love you and protect you and not exploit your trust. - +1 y
Exactly. I have been betrayed by a girl before who suddenly started acting like I had no right to talk to her even though we’ve been in a relationship for a long while. It’s been a few months, but ever since then I haven’t been able to fathom loving someone the same way again. I guess it’s similar to trust issues where it’s difficult to trust someone again.
4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yes it’s definitely up there and yes I have been betrayed before , it’s definitely life changing and changes your whole perspective on trust for people

+1 yI’m sure there much more painful things but betrayal is hard to overcome
14 Reply- +1 y
I’d say it’s one of the hardest things to overcome.
- +1 y
Yes definitely, only thing that helps is time and memory fading 😭
- +1 y
It’s been 6 months and I think I just overcame it. Almost… These 6 months, that felt like living in the hell. I am so relieved it doesn’t hurt that much anymore.
- +1 y
It’s always the hardest in the beginning but you’ll see how it’ll fade so much with time that it just stings a little and you’ll be tougher after so it won't hurt so bad the next time

+1 yNo. Betrayal just means that the fake friend's true self is revealed. The loss in death of someone you genuinely love is worse.
11 Reply- +1 y
That is the worst kind of pain, of course.
But there’s something unexplainable and awfully painful about being betrayed by someone you loved the most in the world, that’s like the person is dead for you, but you have so many unanswered questions, why? How could he do that?
He not only left you, not only betrayed, he not only died for you, but also killed you in a sense with his actions and took lots of “why”s with him.
I think that’s ONE OF THE hardest things to go through in life.
+1 yNo question! College and loved on both sides. I was ready but without letting me know she was not. Summer vacation she had some fun. Found out when easily treated for std. At least I knew to fly! Best way to describe is "she tore out my heart and stomped that sucker flat"
00 ReplyNo. Try watching someone who loves you and only wants to love you lose their independence and quality of life to an incurable disease and you have front row seats to watch it all happen, it won't kill them, just takes everything else. Betrayal is easy compared to that level of helplessness

+1 yLoneliness is more painful..
You even don't know why you are living
14 Reply- +1 y
I’d much rather be alone than be betrayed again… Loneliness - depends on you and you can change that.

I just post my view

I don’t argue with you :)
Just sharing my thoughts. - +1 y
Conclusion:
I will never betrayed you and you will never let me feel alone 😊
+1 yI may or may not have. Depends on how you look at it. But I definitely do not trust anyone. And it is because of this, I have very very low expectations from everyone. I think it is this way, I safeguard myself from any kind of betrayal.

+1 yIt can be hard to accept a betrayal and get over the hurt, sure. But i think there are more hurtful things than that for example death of a loved one.

+1 yNo, death is the most painful thing to me... especially a young person... last year my ex was murdered by a "friend"... he was 34... youngest person close to me that died 😔💔

When you miss your poop window.00 Reply
+1 yI have and no. I rather lose a person who has been bad to be but who I thought was good than lose a person who I thought was good and actually was good to me until the very end.
00 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Close, but I’ll call failure more painful. Because I let myself down and I can get rid of her but I have to live with myself for the rest of my life.

I mean emotional pain :)
Opinion Owner+1 yI understand that; I think that the physical pain is greater than the emotional pain. However, if you want to leave it to only emotional pain; I would say that chronic loneliness is worse.
