This is not about me, lol. I found out some family members who are together are cousins. They weren't raised together, and didn't get together until their mid twenties. Neither sides of the family have or had a problem with it. I don't either, but I'm curious about the general opinion.

Some places call it incest, which is interesting, because royal families have been marrying their cousins for centuries.

The risk of close relatives marrying, more importantly having children, is that that they can pass genetic defects on to their offspring... because of their similar DNA.

To marry a cousin that is a distant cousin, may not be too immoral. However, the son of your mother or father's brother, is too close to family for me. I would not even consider marrying a 3rd cousin. Family is family. There are states that allow it-- but it's not moral to me. Even if it is family within the Royals, as one responder said here--that doesn't make it right. Now, considering this... bibically, Adam and Eve were the first humans on the earth, and they had children. How did their children beget other children? There had to have been relations with brothers and sisters.

Well... definition wise-it is factually incest. Two people from the same family and blood having romantic and sexual relationship is incest. Separate any emotion from it.. I don't know where you live but their legal definition of incest needs a work around and I would and as a legal student myself I would like to know what definition they are using if a cousins together is not incest...

It's incest but more common than people think especially kids in their teens. I had a relationship with two of my cousins growing up. We were what you call a trouple today. Started with the 3 of us practicing kissing, mutual masturbation, playing with each other, anal sex then vaginal intercourse.
