Why do people think its a good idea to rush into a serious relationship after only knowing of each other for a matter of a few months?

People are emotional creatures and sometimes let our emotions get ahead of Reason. I am more of a mind to step away from it and if it was meant to be then it will be. This being said, I still pursue what I want, however, I will not go all in without caution. It is better to be cautious when dealing in personal affairs. Over emotionalized situations can cause long-term damages very easily.
