There is only one reason why women look at men's finance : they expect to benefit from his money. So they are gold diggers. Those women, including you, know perfectly they are gold diggers. If not you would tell the men you date : "one of the reason I date you is because you make a lot of money"

yes. that is perfectly fair and as well, respectful of the woman to know her boundaries. It's a little bit assumptive because it's based on his current state and not future potential. But I tend to think women look at "drive" passion and take that into account at least some of the time.

Some guys will be ok with that, and others will make accusations because it's an easy justification for their rejection to blame her for her standards.

Everyone's tastes are beyond their budget. In that we would all love things we cannot afford. Responsible people simply adjust their tastes to be within their budget.

As such the only difference between a gold digger and a woman who refuses to adjust their taste within her means is the gold digger is more responsible and thus also desirable.
