It’s been 3years now , we haven’t been talking as usual just seasons greetings , and I would like to be close to him back , but I wonder if he still wants me , because I still have feelings ever , should I start with calls or just random text and begin to give attention to him?

I think after that duration, you need to be direct and mature. I'd call or message and say something along the lines of, "I'd like to reconnect. Are you okay with that?" Or ask him for coffee or something and say the same thing. But nothing coy or "hinting" or trying to get him to like a post somewhere.

What makes you think he wants to go there at all, if your only contact has been "Merry Christmas"? Ex's are almost always the wrong direction to go.
