They want to push you to see if you really are strong with your boundaries, some people will do anything to keep someone even if it means letting go of your boundaries.

They mock, tease, bully... even want to be friends when I no longer want to... so they can't take no as an answer?

I learnt from my toxic ex that people can be just awful, they’re most likely narcissistic or just plain toxic, my ex would bully me and call me names hit me and claim it was all a joke she even tried to stab me, I knew that it wasn’t a joke I did leave eventually as it just got to much. Some people push and push and when you go there then you’re the bad guy.

They also don’t want to lose you as you’re their supply they hate themselves and project that hate on to you.
