Guys, Would you be mad if your girlfriend lied and said she was a virgin before she met you and why?

Maybe not mad. But I wouldn’t be happy. A lie is a lie. I want her to trust me and feel free to be honest with me. Those are important things in a healthy relationship. So I’d question if I did something to make her feel like she can’t trust me. I’d also question what else she might have lied about.


If she did lie tho, but shortly after was honest and talked about it with me, and I felt like after that conversation it wouldn’t happen again, and I felt like she trusted me, it’d be fine.


Always better in my opinion to say you don’t wanna answer than lie. It’s ok to say you’re uncomfortable answering, not ok to lie tho.

Yea, that's false advertising. He was led to believe he was someone truly significant to her, and now he's just another run on her belt.

In my own personal situation I'd probably break up with her. The reason for this is it took her 6 months to have sex with me, and she made such a show of saving it, wanting to keep it for marriage, and acting like she was brand new, so if she was lying and had sex before I'd probably leave her on the spot.

Yes but less because she said she was a virgin though she isn´t more because of the lying. Like if she has to lie about such a detail then what is true what she´s telling me? For me a relationship is built mainly on trust and if I have the feeling I can´t trust her things get complicated from the start.

I believe everyone who isn't a virgin should get tested before being with a new person, even if they know they're clean. So I'd be mad because she didn't get tested. I don't care if a girl has had sex with people before me. At 31, most people who are in my age range probably aren't virgins.

Depends how honestly. If it's just me? I don't get why. But if I met her with friends and she didn't want her friends thinking she was one so lied to them but then told me later on she actually was that's cool by me.

I think it's worse than her admitting she had a large body count.
One of the fundamental pillars of a relationship is trust. If that is propped up by a lie, the moment it's removed the whole relationship crumbles.

Yes for sure. If she could lie about something as big, as important as that what else is she capable of lying about especially on a much lower level. The relationship was built based off of a lie. You can’t trust her.
