as far as in general I don’t think those who are legal adults should be allowed to date someone who was a baby when the guy is 18 . If I’m 16 I shouldn’t be allowed to date an 18 year old.

In my opinion, old enough to be their parent is fine as long as they don't already have kids, but not old enough to be their grandparent. If someone has kids, their mate needs to be AT LEAST 15 + years older than their oldest kid.
