I think you’re right. They should work it out with their partner. They’re dating their partner- not us.

Some people also just wish to preserve what they have and seek council from others to make the best decision possible and not ruin what they have, and enjoy.

Is it always right? I don’t think so, but

they also call it couple’s COUNSELING for a reason. Sometimes we need consultations. It helps us to view more options and gain/ observe different perspectives.

Me asking others Is usually last resort when it’s a matter of me and someone I’m dating and truly care about, but when I don’t have answers and my partner isn’t being honest, I ask others to gain some clarity and step out of my own head for a bit.

Does everyone do this? No

Is looking at the relationship from an outer perspective always good? No it isn’t

because others don’t know how our partners are, and some people are biased, and others do assume at times.

The best way to know something is to ask them directly and hope for honesty. Going from there. Weighing things. Just keeping a clear head on the shoulders.

I guess it really depends what the question is.

I can understand wanting advice and an outside perspective on your relationship. I’ve asked questions about mine before. I asked a question recently asking if it seemed like my husband was gaslighting me. That’s not something I can just ask him lol. A gaslighter wouldn’t admit to that.

But yeah there are definitely a lot of people who ask very basic questions…The amount of grown ass adults who ask shit like “how do you think they feel about me? Do they like me?” like bro just ask them how they feel lol.
