Why do some people enjoy drama?

I hate drama too.
But I seem to be in the center of it all the time. It's not that I seek it or want it. I think it's because I am mysterious to people. I have my own opinions that I reserve for when I feel the time to speak is but for the most part I listen and analyse others. I have an intensly social side and an intensly focused side. People don't seem to understand me much so they gossip and conspire.
Especially women and bitchy men, mysterious people becomes a subject of conversation easily because there's so much room for speculation.

When it's positive I draw attraction from many, when it's negative they portray me as creepy and dangerous. It depends on who is spinning the narratives and who is listening to them.

TLDR;
I guess the point is that drama isn't always a one-person-problem. It has a lot to do with whoever is spinning the narratives.

When people feel insecure or out of control, they often apply more pressure when they don't see the results they feel entitled to see. This leads to overreactions and drama. What they don't seem to notice is people are less likely to hear them when they're overreacting. On occasion, they'll see temporary positive results, when others just want them to shut up, but the positive is short-lived. Speaking louder or throwing out more garbage won't raise the likelihood of people actually hearing you. Unless they're playing a game, people don't generally find drama enjoyable.

I believe it stems from childhood - some people grow up amidst conflict and believe it is the only way to exist, and have, most likely, gotten so used to it it feels like home to them.

This is one of the large reasons I had to leave some of my college friends behind - I can not bare drama and had enough of it at one point.

Usually, it's people with no fucking life... idle hands are the devil's workshop.

Like, no real hobbies, no job they really like or are just passionate about if they have one at all, and they're just bored as all fuck!

So they start that fucking drama to make shit interesting for themselves.

If you got shit going on and things you need to focus on... you won't have time to deal with drama, and in fact will find it annoying, as it is a waste of time. Remember Jerry Springer... why was that so popular? Bored-ass people love that shit though.

Some people were raised in chaos; most of those people turn out just fine. Others continue to search for chaos, and self-sabotage unconsciously.

They also have a hard time accepting success as there was little order in their lives; thus they are more accustomed to crazy situations. I know plenty of family members, ex girlfriend's, friends, who self sabotage or are so negative.

The people who enjoy drama may not conciously enjoy it, but they are so angry at the world that they want to bring others down with them; opposed to being positive and rooting for loved ones.

It is a mixture of upbringing, current life, current satisfaction with life, how they deal with emotions, if they have a mental illness or exhibit behaviors, and genetic disposition.

Women derive quite a bit of the feeling of satisfaction through emotionally fulfillment which includes the good and bad emotions. Men get fullfillment through sex. Men want piece so Im assuming you referring to women?

I feel it's the people you pay less attention to, that also enjoy attention or really want it, are the ones that cause the most drama.
