Why do women not acknowledge other women when there talking to your boyfriend? Also how do u fix this behavior?

When u go into a super market or a restaurant it's polite to acknowledge there significant other even if one person is asking a question you direct most of your attention to the person asking but u do acknowledge the other. Why do woman feel that when u have a boyfriend and they are talking to him they don't acknowledge you at all. Like is it a game to see who can keep his attention more like I don't get it? Is he doing something wrong like making it go proceed that way? How do u fix that behavior or is that just how woman are or your partners?
