Hi so my first language is not English and i have been wondering the word "Significant other" is it only mean the person who has a romantic realtionship with or does it also can mean only a close friend

SO, Partner, girlfriend/boyfriend are all the same. none of them are binding in anyway. Anyone can get up and leave at anytime. There is Married and then there are the rest that are all the same thing with same potential outcomes without Loss. Free Love is what they are called.

SO is a politically correct way of describing a partner in a romantic relationship. If they are just your close friend a better description is a crush
