I think it depends on their age and the fact if they live with their parents. If they're under twenty, I will try to understand but if they're nearing their thirty and still feel scared... Well, that won't do. With a place like India, sexuality is just hard to figure out and harder to tell people. So much stigma.

No, I value family a lot in relationships, I want to be able to enjoy spending time with my partners family aswell. If my partner and I can’t be our true selves around their family, then it puts a real downer on the relationship. I’ve been in relationships like this in the past and it feels like you’re being shoved back into the closet, having to hide your love from family.

Yeah, my boyfriend hasn't come out yet and doesn't plan to. We hid it while he lived with his parents and when we moved out, we cut off connections. His parents never deserved to have custody of him, and I'd fear for his life if they had found out before he moved out

That's true. I was bullied in my girl's uni because some girls thought I was a freak because I was bi.
