I want to propose my girlfriend - any tips or tricks to get the right size ring?

Some guys will pick out rings with their girlfriends and the proposal comes later as a surprise.

If you really want to keep the shopping a secret, you can bring a picture of her to the jeweler (full length) and ask for their opinion. They will size up and then adjust the size after the proposal.

If you don't mind her knowing that you are looking at rings, you can borrow a ring from her that fits and have it sized or wrap a string around her finger and mark the string. The jeweler can get the size from the string.

You can always have rings resized if it is the wrong size.

Im assuming she has rings of her own. If so just take one to a local jewelry shop and it it sized. If not buy a random one online. Something cheap and cute or whatever her preference is and see how that fits. Make your judgment from there
