Is normal feeling ashamed in this situation?

There was a girl I was seeing. She had a crush on me for a long time. We kissed few times and went out. Everyone thought we are together. But then she turned me down. Now she has a new guy. Recently i was with a guys playing soccer. One of them is a good friend of the guy she is with now. He was talking about him and that he likes her and they are together. Then he mentioned me that we were seeing each other but didn't work out and she rejected me. I mean all of those guys knew about it. But it really made me feel emberassing and ashamed. When i think of it, it is like yiu were not good enough so she found someone else.
