I like small gifts that contain things that appeal to me like carrot juice or bubble gum or sunflower seeds.

Gifts are lovely but receiving them-are not a priority for me. Go ahead by me a gift for birthdays or some special occasion- that I am ok with. Buying me flowers (my favourite ones) randomly shows me you remembered not only what I had said but that there was thought put into it. By gosh don’t buy me flowers to say sorry about a disagreement we had. I do not want to associate gifts or flowers as a peace offering- I have more substance then that. I want conversation and closure not to be buttered up.

Yes. Christmas, birthdays, Valentine’s Day is acceptable. But within reason. If you are looking at booking a trip, you better already be married or intend on proposing. Any high dollar gifts for girlfriends better include that proposal.
Now, you may want to attempt a high dollar gift, if you are looking to bait a gold digger in an attempt to get rid of her ass.
