we can't know WHY anyone makes a big deal for certain things and not for others, for example she could come on here and ask why her cousin made such a big deal of it that you even had to make a question about it for strangers to answer on lol
Anyway, if she is old fashioned it is only after someone gets married that they move in together so you calling him your boyfriend not your husband implies you are not married.
second, maybe she's not old fashioned and just doesn't think it's a good idea for other reasons that we may not know, maybe you are too soon moving in when you haven't been dating long? OR maybe she just feels sad that you are moving in with someone as many of us do when someone we live with moves out even if we argued and fought most of the time living together lol its very normal human feeling, especially if you were like friends more than cousins etc.
it's usually because a person cares for you or feels sad you're leaving.
if you HAVE been dating for far too long and never moved in and just moving in now, in general from what I've seen in real l life MOST not all but MOST people who do that, end up leaving each other because they were too long together not living together so when they do, then there's no lovey dovey stage and so everything they do become annoying to one another and then it ends bad... so hopefully it's not that case for you, same for those who are boyfriend/girlfriend for five million years and then decide to get married, end up divorcing soon after for same reason.
people shouldn't last too long boyfriend girlfriend if they plan to get married, just do it before they lovey dovey wears off and you become annoyed of each other.. if that's you, perhaps that's another reason why, because maybe she feels it will not end good for you.
Another reason could also be that even if you're 30, you might seem immature or childlike to her and she doesn't quite see you as an adult, I say this because most in my family all worry about me as if I were a child and I'm not, but just everyone seems to see me as not an adult and worry more for me than people who are even younger than. me doing the same things as me etc. Could be that too, but again nobody here will know why YOUR cousin thinks or feels a certain way. we are not herm, nor do we know your boyfriend, perhaps he doesn't come off as a good person to her either. who knows.
you'd have to ask her
I assume she's had boyfriends
