How and when did you introduce your partner to your kids at what was each others reaction?

How did you partner and your kids adapt to each other?

I never had kids, but I had relationships with women that had kids.
It was usually after a few dates just to see if things were working out ok.
I got along fine with them.
I wasn't their dad, but I was in their lives more than their dad was, and we would include them in things we did quite often.
It was fine.
I am still in contact with them once in a while.

How did the kids react to you?

they grew to accept me, and I grew to accept them.
Her youngest was 2.5 years old, and there were times I wiped his butt, helped clean up their puke, pretty much was a part of the family, but not dad.
They called me by my first name and I was just fine with that.
I did not try to be their father, as they already had one, but they were also not stupid and they knew that I was doinking their mom.
I think being involved in their lives, school plays, homework, going to movies or other events, knowing how I was treating their mom helped.
