My girlfriend is 22 yo and it shows. She's a cool girl and very gorgeous, but her immaturity gets on my nerves. I feel like I'm dating a kid.
She's always on TikTok, drooling over the dumbest shit and her mind is stuck in highschool mode. It's hard to explain in detail, but overall it's annoying.

Should I just break up with her and find someone older, or put up with it for a few more years and hope she grows out of it?

(The relationship is young and I don't love her yet, or this wouldn't even be a question)

Sometimes, this ''activity'' is just a habit - and can be replaced with something that's more captivating.

However, I think that people can adjust and 'cultivate' themselves, but their basic traits will remain.

As you think about ''replacing'' her - well: this is 2023 and the overall world's culture is on the decline. Will the next one be better? (Exceptions are granted - you see a few even on GaG :) )

You can also split up your 'interests': continue to enjoy her physical features - and look for some friends to talk with on an intellectual/cultured level.

Mental incompatibility is a big factor that determines how well do you get along with someone. No self respecting man would be okay with his woman showing herself off like on TikTok and doing stupid HS stuff. I am 22 years old as well and that HS phase almost never existed for me. Even if it did, it's like such a gone memory that I can't even recollect.

Talk to her out of it, make her understand how vain and futile all this really is and that she needs to grow up. Make sure you're nice about it with her.
