A week later he messages me saying how are you going just wanting to check in?
I replied and then he said that he does miss me but he doesn't think he could've made it work and that we need time apart and that he hopes I understand.

It means he just liked the convenience of you , he kicked you out so he could weigh his options , he was probably interested or already screwing another girl that got his interest , when he realized she didn’t want him like he wanted her, he decided to hit you back up because he feels he can draw you back in , Do yourself a favor and don’t get drawn back in , If he truly valued you he wouldn’t of kicked you out in the first place , Don’t fall for shit like that , he already showed you his true colors that he is a selfish POS that only cares about himself , the best revenge you can do is move on and make him realize he was a complete selfish dumbass , Never take an ex back period , something I live by and I am glad I do , I saw a great meme yesterday that said Taking an ex back is like spotting a tree in the woods , if you see that tree twice, it means you are Lost. Value yourself worth and realize you deserve someone that will stand by you no matter what , never be someone’s convenience
