My ex texted me after our breakup basically saying that he thought I was the right person wrong time. He ended with saying that he hopes our paths cross again in the future. What does this mean when a guy says that in a breakup text?

I guess it depends. Maybe he felt like he couldn’t provide you what you truly deserve at the very moment because he’s at a point in his life where he doesn’t have much to give to you. It obviously means that he hopes you give him a chance in the near future
