My neighbor is worried her man is not coming home and I don't know what to tell her. Is it possible he has abandoned her? He left his work truck. Also there apartment does not have much in it, so it's possible he could just left her. I feel sorry for her. She's telling me she cannot pay rent as he moved her in and is the one paying rent. Do men actually leave there women this way? I just told her you better go home to your family if you can.
Sure, why not. Though I don't see why you'd need to get involved. It sounds like she's subtly hinting that she will become a horrible mess and wants to move in with you. If all they share is an apartment, where he was paying for everything, not kids, then who cares if she leaves him, or he leaves her. Could be he got a different job, and wanted a new life to go with it.
You can only abandon children, she is an adult. Technically you can abandon a spouse, but that's ridiculous as the states that do have that typically have same month divorces as well, so it's semantics. Could be they were coming up on commonlaw marriage. If they don't have kids but your state is one with alimony, it's impossible for her to get it unless she can serve a summons, while if he can disappear for, say a year, it could invalidate alimony as then she has supported herself for that period of time rather than relying on him.

No men don't normally do this, I don't know what's wrong with dude, but hopefully he comes back and if not I joke she can get back to her family foreal cause that was just foul.
Possibilities
- Something bad has happened to him
- He is a not coming back
- He is coming back but left her worried
It's not looking good for her honestly even if he comes back what he did is wrong she should leave him.
How many days has it been? Did he come home yet? And did they have Communication?

Tell her to get a job. She's an adult. There is no way anyone can tell you what's happening with the guy. Your neighbor has more information about what he's doing than anyone else.
Well maybe he is one of those opportunities who jump on the next cool job wherever it might be and drop everything. That's the only reason to leave a work truck, beyond getting murdered.
Ah shit... you probably gave her good advice. Wonder if the dude got killed or something.
