What do I do if my in-laws always accuse me of not liking them or avoiding them? It doesn’t matter what I do, if I ever turn down and invitation for any reason - they are upset and accuse me of disliking them. It’s been this way for years. I’m tired of trying to prove myself to them. There was one point I was working for them and having dinner with them every night. Any idea why they might always accuse me of this? And how do I deal with it?

They are trying to control you. You don't have to play this game, and you should not. At this point you can say something like "I'm tired of this game and I'm not going to play anymore. Whenever you accuse me of not liking you, I'm going to end the conversation." And do that -- walk away, or if you are at their home and they won't stop, then leave and go home. If your husband drove you there and won't take you home, call a cab.
They usually go to my husband through text and complain to him about me not liking them. And they are business owners and offered him a job, but are now threatening to take it away because we didn’t attend lunch today or other last minute plans the last couple of days.
Her needs to find another job.
