Guy I’m dating has funeral today - do I call?

I’m not good with situations like this. But the guy I’m dating told me a few weeks ago that his nans funeral is today. I text him saying I hope him and his family are well and that I’m thinking of him I sent this hours ago but he hasn’t replied. Shall I call him too to show I care a lot or is this too much? I called him yesterday to check on him too but he seemed a bit off? Do I just leave it as that?

People grieve in different ways so if you don’t know his coping style, offering your support at his request alone is better than uninvited actions like delivering cookies or flowers to his home without previous notice.

You call at the end of the day after any funeral services are over for the day. And you call, don't text... unless you text first to ask if this is a good time to call.
