Is there ever a thing such as “too soon” to get married if you really care and love somebody?

I’d love to get married and feel super confident in the relationship with my boyfriend. I turn 25 this year and ideally I’m old enough, I am mature as well and ready to take on the role of a wife and mom. My boyfriend is younger than me (18), but he is very wise beyond his years and treats me 100x better than older guys I’ve met or came across even my age. I’m thinking of popping the question.. I just don’t know if I’m pushing it.

Too soon only occurs if the two people don't know each other well enough or are not mature enough to be good adults and parents. If you truly know eachother well enough and are compatible, then I think that's fine. My husband and I were 18 and 19 when we got married, and we are glad we didn't wait any longer.

I will say though, let him propose. If he is truly mature enough to marry, he will do so. If not, then you don't want to tempt him to do something he doesn't truly feel like doing.

I married early. Let me tell you marriage isn't about love. It is work. It is commitment. You will find that your definition of love, as far as marriage goes, evolves over time. Do not get married until both of you have your shit together, otherwise there WILL be conflict and it WILL put stress upon your relationship. Add kids to that mix and things become far more difficult - emotionally, physically and financially.

There is such a thing as too soon but that doesn't mean it's too soon for you and him.

Just make sure of two things:

• You really know each other; and
• That's the man you want to wake up to for the rest of your life

If he accepts and you leave him, EVER, he will be ruined for the rest of his life. Worse than death, because he will suffer through every agonizing moment of his now misserable existence trying to deal with the unimaginable pain you have caused him, and then he will die anyway. and it will be entirely your fault

If you have to ask a bunch of random strangers on an app if you are ready to get married.. than you aren’t ready to get married. Mature people don’t ask complete strangers for life altering advise. Mature people would ask people you trust, and respect and follow that advise. Or if you think you are ready you would do it. Moral is, be confident in who you are. And the decisions you make and don’t let the world know your moves.

I would highly recommend pre-marital counseling, 100% of the time.

You both need it to be able to live on your own and take care of all your bills and support your lifestyle by yourself first.

At 18 he's going to succumb to peer pressure that goes missed out on a lot by rushing for marriage you understand right?
